iPhone 15 Pro available for Rs 89,999: No longer offered by Apple, now discounted on Flipkart

Flipkart has announced that Apple’s recently discontinued flagship, the iPhone 15 Pro, will be available for an effective price of Rs 89,999 during its Big Billion Days sale. With the iPhone 16 Pro now on the market, is it worth spending close to a lakh on a device that Apple no longer sells? Let’s break it down.

During the sale, the iPhone 15 Pro will be listed at Rs 99,999, but buyers can avail of a Rs 5,000 bank discount and an additional Rs 5,000 discount through an exchange offer, bringing the effective price down to Rs 89,999.

At this price, the iPhone 15 Pro, despite being discontinued, remains an attractive option for anyone seeking a premium Apple device. Keep in mind, this price applies to the base model with 128 GB of internal storage, while the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256 GB storage will cost around Rs 1,09,990.

Powered by the A17 Pro chip, the iPhone 15 Pro is still a powerhouse, and like the iPhone 16 Pro, it will benefit from Apple Intelligence with the upcoming iOS 18 update. The iPhone 15 Pro’s 6.1-inch display is also slightly smaller than the iPhone 16 Pro’s 6.3-inch screen. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro introduces a new Camera Control button, which the iPhone 15 Pro lacks.

Given the Rs 25,000 price difference between the two models, the iPhone 15 Pro is a strong contender for those seeking a compact, high-end smartphone. Both models share the same titanium frame and action button and are nearly identical in appearance. Priced under Rs 1,00,000, the iPhone 15 Pro is a solid option for those wanting flagship performance and a premium camera experience.

However, for the additional Rs 25,000, the iPhone 16 Pro offers a newer, more powerful chip, and an upgraded camera system that includes a high-resolution 48 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5x telephoto zoom lens.
