Microsoft announced Saturday evening that it had resolved an outage that left tens of thousands of users unable to access Outlook email and other services.
Earlier, the official Microsoft 365 Status account on X reported that the company was investigating issues preventing users from accessing Outlook features and services.
The outage, which began around 3:30 p.m. ET, affected key platforms including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure. According to Downdetector, over 37,000 users reported problems with Outlook, approximately 24,000 experienced issues with Microsoft 365, and around 150 reported disruptions with Teams.

The affected regions were primarily concentrated around New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as reported by Downdetector. Frustrated users took to X to share concerns over the widespread service disruptions.
Microsoft later confirmed on its service health update page that all systems were “up and running.” In a follow-up post on X, the company stated that the issue had been resolved.
As of now, Microsoft has not responded to CNBC’s request for comment.
